Live just 1 mile east of Abilene Texas city limits. Had clearwire for about 2 years and would have 3 to 4 bars on signal strength.  Then came the NEW upgraded faster modem in Dec 2009.  After that I never could even get 1 bar.  After many calls and many emails with no help we canceled the account.

Then, after being told about how good Wildblue satellite system was, I tried that.  Well the ping rate for that is slower than dial up and stinks.

Like where is all that help for high speed access for rural people that has been talked about in DC for months?
